Defence Public School for Boys is located at 305-R, Phase II of Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Lahore Cantt in a very fine surrounding covering an area of 43.5 kanals.

History / Background

Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Lahore is the name known almost to every Pakistani for its efficient, trust and reliability. It has embarked upon a gigantic programme of bringing about revolution in the development of vast area in Defence environments. Besides construction of network of roads, hospitals and shopping plazas, the DHA is involved to provide modern amenities of life to the area. This includes provision of education facilities with modern features to its residents. The school came into being as Primary School in April 1993. The next year in 1994 it was raised to Matric Level. Our move forward continued and in Sep 1995 school was raised to Higher Secondary Level (Intermediate) to accommodate college classes aswell. In 1997 the college classes were discounted due to establishment of Garrison Degree Collage in the vicinity. The early 1999, another step was taken in introducing O’ Level classes in the school. The school got registered with Cambridge University-London for the same purpose. In the year 2002, the first batch of O’Level students of this school appeared in examination held in May/June 2002. The school has shown excellent performance and out of 10 appeared one boy attained 7 A’s. The school had already been producing excellent results in the Matric examination of Board of Intermediate and Secondary education Lahore.

The School aims at quality education to its students with a view to provide sound educational foundation. Efforts are made to develop their character and inculcate true sense of responsibility so as to acquire a graceful & balanced personality, which may help them to grow into useful citizens of the country in Islamic Environment.
