COMPUTER LAB Two Air conditioned Computer Labs are functioning in the school. School offers Computer Science as a regular subject in Matric, Cambridge and college classes. School retains the honour of being one of the pioneer schools to start Computer Science at Matric level as regular subject. Students of all classes attend computer classes where they get technical knowledge and awareness about the computer world (Information Technology). VIDEO LAB The video lab. is equipped with the most sophisticated 29" colour TV set, a VCR and an Over-Head Projector. It covers variety of audio visual aids for teaching. Students are regularly taken to video lab where they enjoy the latest available educational films under the supervision of a teacher. MULTIMEDIA PROJECTOR Recently school purchased its own multimedia projector which covers variety of teaching activities and briefing in the campus. EXCURSION TRIPS Each year students of different classes are taken separately to cursion/educational trips to different places where they not only get knowledge but also enjoy the group activities. HOUSE ACTIVITIES The school is divided into four houses. a) Jinnah House b) Iqbal House c) Sir Syed House d) Qasim House THE SCHOOL MAGAZINE Name of the annual school magazine is "The Defenders". It contains separate English and Urdu sections. The young writers, poets and artists contribute for the magazine under the supervision and guidance of their teachers. INTER SCHOOL ENGLISH/URDU DEBATE & DECLAMATION CONTESTS Declamation contests and debates are the regular feature of the Inter House activities of the school. However English/Urdu debates are also organized at inter-school level once a year. ARTS AND SCIENCE EXHIBITION Annual arts and science exhibition is a regular feature of the co-curricular activities of the students. Different projects according to their class level are prepared and displayed for the parents and guests on the annual Art & Science exhibition day. EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
SPORTS The School has a complex that provides ample sports facilities to its students. Cricket, Hockey Foot-ball, Badminton & Table Tennis are a few to name. The School has earned name in Cricket and Hockey by winning many Inter-School tournaments. ANNUAL PARENTS’ DAY It is one of the most colourful functions of the school held annually. The students present different items including dramas, skits, songs and parodies in theresence of the parents and guests. Societies and Clubs There are different societies and clubs in the collage. Any student, who wishes to be a ember of any society, can register his name with the in-charge of the society. All students are obliged to join at least one club or society. Students Council It is made up of responsible and elected student from each section of all classes. They help in maintaining internal discipline, in holding co-curricular activities and arranging cultural as well as social activities in the campus. Defence Debating Club The college holds annual debates once a year in Urdu and English. The Debating Clubs of Urdu and English are active in training the students. Dramatics The College also has a Dramatic Society. It has set a tradition of staging a full length Annual Play and the students are encouraged to explore their potential by their active participation. College Magazine & Newsletter The College has its prestigious Magazine "Defender". All the students are warmly encouraged to render their intellectual and creative contributions to the magazine for publication. The newsletter is published on quarterly basis to keep the parents abreast of all the academic and co-curricular activities taking place in the college. Tutorials Tutorials are held on Fridays to counsel students regarding academic and co-curricular activities. Extra Curricular Activities Musical concerts, Bonfire, Elocution, etc. are held regularly. Students are taken for recreational / educational trips related to their subjects. All departments are given an opportunity of at least one recreational trip other than co-curricular activities. Parent Teacher Association Meeting To develop the overall versatile personality of the students, a liaison between parents and teachers is important. On the fourth Saturday of every month there is a parent teacher meeting. Timings are displayed on the relevant notice board. Parents can also meet the Principal during the time displayed on the college notice. Library The college has a Library adequately equipped with books on a variety of topics. College Canteen The college canteen is a wonderful and entertaining place for students. Tasty and hygienic food is available at reasonable price with comfortable seating arrangements. Photo-Copy Facility Photocopy machine is available at the canteen. Transport DHA Transport is available for the students residing in DHA (subject to availability of seat) Conduct The name of a student may be struck off in cause of severe misconduct and lack of respect shown towards the Lecturers of College Rules and Regulations. All students are expected to show a high sense of dignity to be courteous, decent and well behaved. To be considerate and display personal honesty, students should not wear jewellery and such like things; simplicity is the order of the day at our campus. Cheating, stealing and bunking the classes/missing practicals are serious offences. Students should always carry their college I.D cards with them. Restrictions All students will follow the restrictions imposed. · Complete silence in corridors is imperative. · Littering, scribbling and wall chalking are prohibited. · Plucking flowers/plants is forbidden. · Damage of college property / furniture will result in fine/penalty. · Use of college staff gate is forbidden. · Wrong car parking is not permissible. · Use of college telephone (office) is forbidden. · Personal celebrations and exchange of gifts is not allowed. · Without prior permission of the Principal, no students is allowed to paste, exhibit or distribute any poster, leaflet, notice, pamphlet and handbill in the college premises. · No mobile phone can be carried by the students. · Date sheet and clashes are to be checked by the students themselves. · Students are not allowed to enter the college once the gates are closed and their safety is not the responsibility of the College Management. | ||||||
